Jack Reynor (born January 23, 1992 in Longmont , Colorado , United States ) is an Irish actor .

Life

Reynor was born in the United States but grew up in Wicklow, Ireland .

In 2012 he took on his first major role in Kirsten Sheridan's drama Das Puppenhaus . With his first leading role in Lenny Abrahamsons What Richard Did , director Michael Bay became aware of Reynor and finally cast him for his film Transformers: Age of Extinction . Before that, Reynor shot the comedy The Delivery Hero with Vince Vaughn and Cobie Smulders .

In 2015 he starred in Justin Kurzel's drama Macbeth as Malcolm and in 2016 in John Carney's musical film Sing Street as Brendan . In 2017, he played the Czechoslovak resistance fighter Jozef Gabčík , who carried out the assassination attempt on Reinhard Heydrich together with Jan Kubiš in The Power of Evil .
