action

The human boy Mowgli grows up in a pack of wolves under the leadership of Akela in the jungles of India. He is orphaned after his human parents were killed by the tiger Shir Khan when Mowgli was an infant. The often harsh rules of the jungle teach him the bear Balu and the panther Baghira . Mowgli is also accepted as one of them by most of the other animals in the jungle. Only a few young wolves from the pack reject it and call him a freak or miscarriage , which connects it to the small albino wolf Bhoot.

Mowgli is a thorn in the side of the tiger Shir Khan, he wants to kill the boy. But Mowgli still enjoys the pack's protection. However, when he fails the jungle test, which should give him the right to participate in the night hunt, and he violates some iron jungle laws, such as using fire to defend Akela when he is challenged in his leadership role, Mowgli has to leave the jungle.

He comes to a human village and slowly gets used to the life there, although he doesn't understand the language. When one of his wolf brothers asks him to return to the jungle because the pack is suffering from Shir Khan's terror, Mowgli refuses, because he now belongs to the people and his animal brothers have rejected him.

There is also an English hunter in the village who was employed by the residents to protect them from the tiger. When the spring festival is celebrated in the village , he shows Mowgli his hunting trophies. Among these is the stuffed albino bhoot. The sight tears Mowgli's heart apart and he realizes that he doesn't belong to the people, but to the jungle. In a final battle, he defeats Shir Khan, with Akela and the elephants helping him after his leader had promised to deliver the hunter who had cut off his tusk. Akela, however, lets his life fight the tiger and Mowgli becomes the leader of the pack.
