Jacques-Émile Paris (born January 13, 1905 in Vendôme , † after 1963) was a French ambassador .

Life

Jacques-Émile Paris was the son of Germaine Ledere and Robert Paris. He studied at the École libre des sciences politiques . He married Monique de Romrec de Vichenet. In 1929 he was an attaché in Brussels . In 1929 he was the embassy secretary in Rio de Janeiro . From 1933 he was employed in Madrid and from 1938 in Oslo . In 1941 he was charge d'affaires at the Norwegian government in exile in London . From September 1941 to October 1942 he was under Charles de Gaulle within the Services de la France libre (a subdivision of the French Committee for National Liberation ), Chief of Protocol of the Commissariat des Affaires étrangères (Office for Foreign Policy) in London. From 1945 to 1950 he was ambassador to Sofia . From May 20, 1950 to March 31, 1955 he was Envoy Extraordinary and Ministre plénipotentiaire , from September 30, 1952 Ambassador to Damascus . From March 22, 1955 to October 31, 1956 he was ambassador to Tehran . From 1958 to 1960 he was Ministre plénipotentiaire in Bucharest . From 1960 to 1964 he was ambassador to Dublin . From 1960 to 1964 he was ambassador to Luxembourg .
