Robert de Dampierre
Robert Gaston Marie Aymar de Dampierre (born December 4, 1888 in Orléans , Loiret department , † August 18, 1974 in Grasse ) was a French diplomat .
Life
Robert-Gaston-Marie Aymar de Dampierre was the son of Jeanne Louise Basset de Châteaubourg (* 1854–1922) and Éric de Dampierre (* 1851–1927). He joined the Foreign Service before the First World War and was an attaché at the embassy in Vienna . In 1917 he became secretary of the mission in Tokyo . On September 27, 1920 he married Catherine D'Ollone (* 1896, † 1926).
From 1924 to 1929 he was in Rome promoted to counselor, where he developed the 1929 exequatur had the consul and in July 1933 as chargé acted. From May 13, 1936 to August 26, 1937 he was envoy to Belgrade , from August 26, 1937 to March 9, 1940, envoy to Ottawa , from March 9 to April 9, 1940, envoy in Oslo , from August 1940 to December 1942 envoy in Budapest , from 1945 to October 27, 1948 envoy in Santiago de Chile and from October 27, 1948 to 1952 envoy in Stockholm .
