The Jagdhausbach is a right tributary of the Krebsbach and has the river order number 6. The valley through which it flows is the Jagdhausal . In the course of this, the rare pygmy owl was detected.

course

The Jagdhausbach rises from the Saugarten at the foot of the Mühlberg . The Brettenbergsbach , the Krebsbach and small tributaries of the Friedenstalbach also arise in this area . The watersheds form the foothills of the Mühlberg and the Große Brettenberge . After 900 meters of the river, the Victorshöher footpath, part of a network of forest roads and footpaths spanning the area between Selketal and Gernrode , is crossed. Another 300 meters later the Jagdhausbach has a probably nameless tributary. This rises at about 387  m above sea level. NHN and joins on the right after just 70 meters of the stream at about 382  m . In the further course the Jagdhausbach crosses at a height of 364.9  m under the Tränkerweg , which comes from a road that accompanies the Friedenstalbach and crosses the Brettenbergsbach further north and flows into the forest path known as the Langerbergsweg . This also crosses the Krebsbach, joins other forest trails, becomes a road again and continues past the Bremen pond to Gernrode.

The creek flows slightly meandering through the forest, now accompanied by a forest path on both sides, to an unpaved road that leads from the Selketalbahn stop at Drahtzug to the Krebsbachteich . At an altitude of 310  m , it crosses under this street and then flows less than 20 meters further down the stream from the right at almost the same height into the Krebsbach. The creek runs completely through an extensive forest - and forest area in the district Alexisbad .

inflow

The Jagdhausbach has only one tributary, an apparently nameless brook, which in the great Bretten Mountains at around 430  m above sea level. NN rises and at about flow kilometers 1.2 to about 400  m above sea level. NN flows from the right. It is about 365 meters long.
