Jakob Diegel

Jakob Diegel (in official documents Jakob Diegel II ; * around 1805 ; † August 31, 1891 in Pfaffen-Schwabenheim ) was a miller , Hessian politician of the Progressive Party and member of the Second Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Jakob Diegel was the son of the farmer Jacob Diegel and his wife Maria Elisabetha, née Thomas. Diegel, of Protestant faith, was a miller in Pfaffen-Schwabenheim and married Katharina nee Schlamp. From 1842 to 1849 he was mayor of Pfaffen-Schwabenheim.

From 1862 to 1866 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency Rheinhessen 2 / Sprendlingen / Wöllstein .
