Jakob Fellner , Hungarian Fellner Jakab , ennobled by Fellenthal (born July 25, 1722 in Mikulov (Nikolsburg), Moravia , † December 12, 1780 in Tata (Totis), Hungary ), was a German-Moravian builder of the late Baroque . In the service of the Esterházy family , he directed the planning and construction of numerous castles and churches in the Kingdom of Hungary .

Life

Jakob Fellner was built in 1744 in Tata polishing and four years later builders. On behalf of the Esterházy family , he managed the baroque expansion of the palace and town of Tata after the destruction of the Turkish wars and the Rákóczi uprising . Soon he received further important orders. In 1764 Bishop Karl Eszterházy brought him to Eger (Erlau). In 1773 he was accepted into the Hungarian nobility.
