Jakob Käch (born August 22, 1908 in Nottwil , † June 18, 1983 in Muri , Catholic , resident in Buttisholz ) was a Swiss politician (CVP) .

Life

Jakob Käch, born in Nottwil as the son of the farmer Jakob Käch and Anna, née Burkart, first attended grammar schools in Beromünster and Einsiedeln from 1920 to 1928 , then from 1930 to 1933 he studied agronomy in Zurich , which he obtained with the qualification of Ing . agr. ETH. finished.

From 1934 Käch worked as a main teacher at the agricultural school in Brugg . To this end, he acted from 1941 to 1976 as the head of the cantonal central office for arable farming and, from 1944, as the managing director of the Aargau seed breeding cooperative. From 1956 to 1974, Käch was appointed rector of the Muri Agricultural School, the construction and expansion of which is particularly associated with his name.

Jakob Käch, who was married to Elsa, born Keser, died on June 18, 1983, two months before he was 75 years old in Muri.

The Catholic-Conservative politician Käch was a member of the National Council from 1947 to 1955 . Jakob Käch was considered an expert in goods regulations and campaigned for the Reuss Valley rehabilitation as a board member and actuary of the appraisal commission.
