James Chan Soon Cheong
James Chan Soon Cheong (born July 26, 1926 in Selama ) is former bishop of Melaka-Johor .
Life
James Chan Soon Cheong was ordained a priest on August 9, 1959 . Paul VI appointed him Bishop of Malacca - Johor on December 18, 1972 .
The Archbishop of Kuala Lumpur Dominic Vendargon donated him episcopal ordination on June 8 of the next year ; Co- consecrators were Michel Olçomendy M.EP , Archbishop of Singapore , and Gregory Yong Sooi Ngean , Bishop of Penang .
On December 10, 2001, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
