James Cower Eckhouse (born February 14, 1955 in Chicago , Illinois ) is an American actor and director .

Life

Eckhouse has worked as an actor since the early 1980s. He began his career with small guest roles in television series and short appearances in movies like 1983 in Die Glücksritter or 1988 in Cocktail . He became internationally known from 1990 in the role of Jim Walsh in the television series Beverly Hills, 90210 , which he impersonated in five seasons until 1995.
