James Kirkwood Junior

James Kirkwood Jr. (* 22 August 1924 in Los Angeles , † 21st April 1989 in Manhattan , New York City ) was an American playwright and dramatist .

Life

His parents were James Kirkwood and Lila Lee . Their only child together was James Kirkwood, Jr. As a playwright, he was involved in the play A Chorus Line with Nicholas Dante, among others . In 1989, Kirkwood Jr. died of complications from AIDS in New York City. In memory of him, friends of his donated the James Kirkwood Literature Prize .
