James LaRue

James S. LaRue (born May 12, 1934 ; † December 30, 2012 , also: Jim LaRue ) was an American sound engineer .

Life

James LaRue began his career as a sound engineer in the late 1970s. As a sound mixer, he worked on the television series Project UFO from 1978 to 1979. He worked for both television and cinema. a major success was an Oscar nomination in the category Best Sound together with Michael Minkler , Bob Minkler and Lee Minkler for the film Tron at the 1983 Academy Awards .

His last work was in 2002 for an episode of the TV series The X-Files - The FBI's Scary Cases . Then he ended his 25-year career. He died on December 30, 2012 at the age of 78.
