Jan Kulhánek (born May 26, 1981 ) is a Czech handball player .
The 1.88 m tall and 109 kg heavy goalkeeper began his career at HK Lovosice . With SKP Frýdek-Místek he took part in the EHF Cup twice and was Czech champion in 2003. In 2005 he came to the German second division ASV Hamm , with whom he reached the round of 16 in the 2007/08 DHB Cup . In 2008 he switched to Bundesliga club TUSEM Essen , with whom he had to relegate at the end of his first season. In the 2011/12 season he was promoted again. After he had to go back to the second division in 2012/13 , he joined the second division club SG BBM Bietigheim in the summer of 2013 . With Bietigheim he was promoted to the Bundesliga in 2014. Kulhánek has been guarding the gate of HSC 2000 Coburg since summer 2015 .
Kulhánek played five international matches for the Czech men's national handball team .
