Jan Palouš
Jan Arnold Palouš (until 1947 Jan Leopold Alois Pallausch ; born October 25, 1888 in České Budějovice , Bohemia , † September 25, 1971 in Prague , Czechoslovakia ) was a Bohemian-Czechoslovak ice hockey player .
Career
Jan Palouš tried different sports during his studies. He played his first international ice hockey tournament at the Coupe de Chamonix in 1909 , when he was a member of a select team of Bohemian students ( České mužstvo akademické , also Hokejoví mušketýři ). In the following years he ran for the Česká sportovní společnost ( Czech sports society ). From 1922 he was active for SK Slavia Prague .
With the Bohemian national ice hockey team he was European champion at the European Championships in 1911 and 1914 . At the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp , he won the bronze medal in the Olympic ice hockey tournament with the Czechoslovak national team . Four years later he also took part in the Olympic ice hockey tournament of the Winter Games in Chamonix .
