Jan Peterek (born October 17, 1971 in Havířov , Czechoslovakia ) is a former Czech ice hockey player who played for HC Vítkovice , HC Femax Havířov and HC Oceláři Třinec in the Czech extra league as well as for Lokomotive Jaroslawl played in the Russian Super League .

Career

Jan Peterek began his career as a hockey player with TJ Vítkovice , for which he made his debut in the first division , the highest Czechoslovak division, in the 1989/90 season . There the winger began the following season before he had to do his military service, after which he spent the rest of the season at the army sports club Dukla Trenčín . He then returned to TJ Vítkovice and took part with the team from the 1993/94 season on - after the division of Czechoslovakia - the newly founded Czech extra league .

From 1997 to 1999 Peterek played for HC Železárny Třinec in the extra league . The 1999/2000 season began with the left shooter at Ässät Pori in the Finnish SM-liiga . After an assist in six games, he joined the HC Femax Havířov from his Czech homeland, where he spent the following two years. In the seasons 2001/02 and 2002/03 , the Czech with was Lokomotiv Yaroslavl each Champion of Russia .

After another year in Yaroslavl, Peterek signed another contract with HC Oceláři Třinec for the 2004/05 season . Shortly before the start of the playoffs, however, he moved to his home club, HC Vítkovice. Since the 2005/06 season , the former national player has been on the ice again for Třinec in the Extraliga and was team captain there for several years. In the 2010/11 season he also won the Czech championship title with the team .

After the 2013/14 season , Peterek ended his active career after 22 seasons in the extra league .

International

For the Czech Republic , Peterek took part in the Euro Hockey Tour in 2006 .
