Jan Poštulka (born March 9, 1949 ) is a former Czech soccer player and current soccer coach.
Player career
Poštulka played for Sparta Prague from 1971 to 1978 , then for two years for Inter Bratislava . In 1980 the goalkeeper moved to FC Bohemians Prague . In the season 1981/82 Poštulka was loaned to the second division club Vagónka Česká Lípa . After the 1982/83 season, in which he won the Czechoslovak Championship with Bohemians , he ended his active career.
Coaching career
1983 Poštulka was assistant coach at FC Bohemians Prague . In 1990 he took over this position at SKP Spartak Hradec Králové , but left the club after half a year. From 1991 to 1993 Poštulka coached the Costa Rican club LD Alajuelense , with whom he became national champion in 1992 and reached the final of the CONCACAF Champions Cup . After returning to the Czech Republic , Poštulka was the head coach of Terrex Kladno and SK Český Brod . In 1996 he became assistant coach at Sparta Prague and stayed there for two years. In the 1998/99 season he went to Central America again , this time to CSD Municipal from Guatemala City . From 2000 to 2004 Poštulka worked as an assistant trainer at FK Teplice . In spring 2005 he was an assistant at SK Dynamo České Budějovice , in 2005/06 he was in charge of the SK Dynamo B team in the 3rd division. Jan Poštulka has been coaching the Armenian club FC Bananz Yerevan since 2007 , with whom he won the national cup competition in his first year.

- His son Tomáš Poštulka is a professional footballer and also a goalkeeper.
- In 2001 he received the fair play award from the Czech Olympic Committee for saving the lives of three people in the course of his life.
