In Jana Ina & Giovanni - Pizza, Pasta & Amore , the celebrity couple Jana Ina and Giovanni Zarrella are accompanied by ProSieben in seven episodes as they open their own restaurant . “My grandparents had restaurants, my parents run a restaurant, my sister and other family members are also in the business. Gastronomy simply has a long tradition in my family. It has always been a dream of mine to follow in the same footsteps. Now I'm finally fulfilling this wish! ”Said Giovanni Zarrella. Most of the show was about opening my own restaurant. The show begins at a couple's barbecue party . Since the birth of their first son, their apartment has become too small for the family. That is why Giovanni tells his friend Salvatore Zimotti in private about his plans to move to Munich to be closer to his parents. He flies to Munich with the unsuspecting Jana Ina, who believes in a love weekend. When Jana Ina found out the real reason for the trip there, she was not very enthusiastic about her husband's plans. Nevertheless, the celebrity couple meets with a real estate agent. You are looking at two properties. The first is an unfinished loft in Schwabing , which is out of the question for the couple. The second is a villa on Lake Starnberg , which they both love. Then the couple visits Munich's in-restaurant “Hugo's”, where Giovanni comes up with the idea of opening his own Italian restaurant. Back in Cologne, Jana Ina also goes looking for an apartment. She found a few properties in Cologne in the newspaper and made a few appointments without her husband's knowledge. Here, too, the couple is looking at a 5-room luxury loft. Finally, the Zarrellas agree to stay in Cologne, provided that Giovanni can open his own restaurant there. With his friend Alfredo Cannizzaro, he is completely rebuilding his family restaurant "Bajazo". In search of future staff, they organized a “barmaid casting” with Giovanni's father, Bruno, in which two applicants were selected. The second focus is the professional and private everyday life of the celebrity couple. The Zarrellas were accompanied by Giovanni's best friend Salvatore at the bachelorette party and wedding, when they moved into their new apartment and, like Giovanni, surprised his wife with a flower bed. You can also see Giovanni at a concert at the REWE Festival and how he works with Michelle Leonard and Alexander Geringas on the theme song I Can't Dance Alone , which he recorded with his former bandmate Ross Antony. Jana Ina completed a lingerie shoot in Hamburg and presented her first own jewelry collection in a showroom in Düsseldorf. Together with Ross Antony, she collected donations in the Cologne Arcaden for an operation by Gemison, a 10-year-old boy from Brazil with misaligned feet. She and her colleague Monica Ivancan visited the boy there and supported him with his operation. In Brazil, Jana Ina took part in a casting for a presenter for a talk show on the Brazilian TV station “Rede Bandeirantes de Televisão” (also known as “BAND”).
The program ended after seven episodes with the opening of the “Settantotto” restaurant in Cologne-Rodenkirchen , to which prominent friends of the couple were invited.
