From July 2011 to July 2012 she was the chairwoman of the ÖH for the Green & Alternative Students Club (GRAS). From July 2012 to June 2013 she was second vice-chairwoman. She has been a district councilor in Vienna- Wieden since 2015 .

Life and political career

Janine Wulz is the daughter of Andrea Wulz, city councilor of the Klagenfurt Greens , and grew up in Klagenfurt . After training to be a kindergarten teacher at the BAKIP Klagenfurt, she began studying political science and educational science at the University of Vienna in 2004 .

From 2000 to 2004 Wulz was involved with the Green Alternative Youth Klagenfurt. In 2001/2002 she was chairwoman of the Klagenfurt Youth Advisory Council, and from 2010 a member of the Presidium of the State Conference of the Vienna Greens . From March 1, 2010 to October 2010, she was the economics officer of the Austrian Students' Union (ÖH). From July 2011 to July 2012 she was chairwoman of the ÖH for the Green & Alternative Students Club (GRAS). From July 2012 to June 2013 she was second vice-chairwoman.

Wulz has been a district councilor in Wieden since the state and local council elections in Vienna in 2015 .

Positions

According to her own account, Wulz was involved in anti-fascist projects from her youth. She also supported the protests against the Vienna Corporations Ball with the help of the ÖH. It campaigns against the introduction of tuition fees and against the expansion of access restrictions at universities and for free university access. In addition, she argues for the general political mandate of the ÖH.

criticism

As an economic advisor at the Austrian University of Vienna, she was involved in founding the “ Café Rosastudiosl in 2011 , which was closed one year after moving to the Federal Representation after high financial losses. The public prosecutor's office in Vienna initially initiated investigations into breach of trust and suspicion of illegal use of funds from the Austrian student body, but these were discontinued in summer 2015. The operation of the “Café Rosa” itself was illegal due to a lack of approval from the Ministry of Science, which Wulz is also blamed for. A request for voting against Wulz brought in by the ÖVP-affiliated action group (AG) was rejected by over 60% of the ÖH mandataries. In January 2014, the FPÖ and some media accused her of complicity in the riots around the Vienna Academic Ball. Wulz described the allegations against her as "totally absurd" and the Black Bloc perpetrators of violence as "idiots".
