Jannero Pargo (born October 22, 1979 in Chicago , Illinois ) is a retired American basketball player .

Career

college

Pargo played for the University of Arkansas team after initially entering the Neosho County Community College in Chanute, Kansas .

NBA

Pargo played in the NBA for the Los Angeles Lakers , Toronto Raptors and Chicago Bulls . He spent his most successful time with the New Orleans Hornets , where he got an average of 10.3 points in the play-offs in his last season.

In July 2009, Pargo signed a one-year deal with the Chicago Bulls that grossed him $ 2 million. In 2011 he moved to the Atlanta Hawks , where he played until 2012. For the 2012/13 season , however, he received no new contract in Atlanta and accepted an offer from the Washington Wizards for the 2012/13 season. Shortly after the season began, he was fired to make way for Shaun Livingston . On March 14, 2013, he signed with the Charlotte Hornets for the remainder of the season .

Europe

After the 2007/08 season, Pargo moved to Russia for MBK Dynamo Moscow , where he earned the equivalent of 3.8 million US dollars. In January 2009 he moved to Olympiacos Piraeus , but he only got an average of 3.5 points and 1.4 assists per game in the Euroleague . On May 5, 2009, Pargo was released from Piraeus.
