career

Hundt played in his youth for TuS Lichterfelde and DBV Charlottenburg . In 2014 he moved to Alba Berlin , where he was mostly used in the men's division in the second team in the first regional league and celebrated his premiere in the basketball Bundesliga in March 2013 against Tübingen . In 2014 he took part in the basketball version “3 against 3” at the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing , China .

In 2016 he moved to SSV Lokomotive Bernau in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB , but thanks to a cooperation agreement he stayed in the extended Bundesliga squad of Berlin.

At the beginning of August 2017 Hundt was signed by the Bundesliga club Eisbären Bremerhaven and also received a double license for Rot-Weiß Cuxhaven from the 2nd Bundesliga ProB to gain further gaming experience . At the beginning of the 2017/18 season, he had to sit out due to a broken thumb. For the Cuxhaven-based team, he was on the field in 22 matches over the course of the season, averaging 11.8 points and 4.6 assists per game, but with the Lower Saxony team he missed staying in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB. In the colors of the Eisbären Bremerhaven, Hundt also made five short appearances in the Bundesliga in the 2017/18 season.

During the summer break of 2018, the development player was signed by the Quakenbrück team Artland Dragons . With an average of 9.7 points and four assists per match, he was the top performer of the Artländer in the 2018/19 game year. Before and during the Bundesliga season-end tournament in June 2020, which was held because of the spread of COVID-19 , Hundt was a training player for Bundesliga club BG Göttingen and thus his brother Bennet's teammate. Jannes Hundt was not used in one game for Göttingen.

In mid-August 2020, Bundesliga club SC Rasta Vechta announced  Hundt's commitment.
