Jaromir Zachrich (born April 14, 1985 in Mannheim - Neckarau ) is a German national volleyball player .

Career

youth

Zachrich began his volleyball career at VC Nagold and then played in the youth division of Bundesliga club TV Rottenburg . He later became a junior national player at the volleyball boarding school in Frankfurt and at the VC Olympia Berlin and took third place at the 2004 European championships under the then junior national coach Michael Warm .

Bundesliga

Zachrich's first position as a professional in the Bundesliga was Moerser SC since 2004 , with whom he made it into the final of the DVV Cup in 2006 . As a member of the sports promotion group of the Bundeswehr , he reached the final of the world championship with the national military team in the same year. In 2006 he changed the club to Bundesliga club SG Eltmann , where he was able to establish himself as a regular under coach Milan Marić . In 2007 the middle blocker took part in the Universiade in Bangkok and received an invitation to the senior national team for the first time . In 2008 he moved to the top German club SCC Berlin , where he finished third in the Challenge Cup in 2010 . Zachrich has been wearing the SWD Powervolleys Düren jersey since 2010 and has taken on the role of captain and captain. In 2014, Zachrich was again appointed to the national team 's senior squad by national coach Vital Heynen . He made his international debut in the summer of 2014 in a World League match against Argentina . In the 2014/15 season he reached third place in the Bundesliga and the semifinals in the DVV Cup with Düren . The following season he came with the SWD Powervolleys in the playoff quarter-finals ; in the CEV Cup , the team also made it to the quarter-finals. In the 2016/17 season Zachrich reached third place in the championship with the Düren team. The following year, the Powervolleys with Zachrich reached the second round of the CEV Cup , but had to admit defeat in the playoff quarter-finals of the Bundesliga. After the season, the captain announced his end of career, and he wants to support the club in the future in the youth work.

Zachrich studies sport and German at the German Sport University in Cologne .
