Jason Ajemian

Jason Ajemian (born August 5, 1976 in Calf Mountain , Virginia ) is an American jazz musician ( bass , electronics) and media artist.

Live and act

Ajemian has worked in the Chicago jazz scene from the early 2000s a. a. with Marc Ribot , Matana Roberts , Ken Vandermark , Matt Bauder , Tim Daisy , Bill Dixon , Bill McKay , Dave Rempis and Rob Mazurek , with whom he plays in the Chicago Underground Trio ; he was also a member of the Exploding Star Orchestra . In 2004 his debut album Who Cares How Long You Sink was released , followed by The Art of Dying ( Delmark Records 2008, with Jason Adasiewicz ), Protest Heaven (2010, 482 Music ) and Daydream Full Lifestyles , among others. a. with Tony Malaby , Jeff Parker and Chad Taylor . In the field of jazz he worked as a musician between 2002 and 2010 in 16 recording sessions. In 2009 he and his brother Lucas took part in the exhibition "Only the ghosts are awake" at the Hartware MedienKunstverein Dortmund.
