Jason Nicholas Rogers (born April 14, 1983 in Houston ) is a former American saber fencer .

successes

Jason Rogers won the gold medal with the team at the 2003 Pan American Games in Santo Domingo . In the individual, he also secured the bronze medal. At the Pan American Championships he won the title with the team in Montreal in 2007 , in Querétaro in 2008 and in San Salvador in 2009 . In 2009 he was also the individual Pan American champion. He took part in the Olympic Games twice: at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens , he finished 25th in the individual. With the team he just missed winning a medal in fourth. In 2008 he reached Beijing with the team after victories over Hungary and Russia, however, the battle for the gold medal, in which the US team was defeated by France with 37:45. Together with Timothy Morehouse , James Williams and Keeth Smart he received the silver medal. He finished the individual competition in 28th place.

Rogers graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in psychology , for which he was also active in the college sport of fencing.
