Timothy Frank "Tim" Morehouse (born July 29, 1978 in New York City ) is a former American saber fencer .

successes

Timothy Morehouse won the gold medal with the team at the Pan American Games in Guadalajara in 2011 . In the individual, he also secured silver. At the Pan American Championships, he won the title with the team six times in a row: 2007 in Montreal , 2008 in Querétaro , 2009 in San Salvador , 2010 in San José , 2011 in Reno and 2012 in Cancun . In 2007 and 2008 he was each Vice Pan American Champion. Morehouse took part in the Olympic Games twice: In 2008 , after victories over Hungary and Russia , he reached Beijing with the team for the gold medal, in which the US team lost to France with 37:45. Together with James Williams , Jason Rogers and Keeth Smart , he received the silver medal. In the individual he finished 22nd after an opening defeat against Boris Sanson . At the 2012 Olympic Games in London he was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the individual against Diego Occhiuzzi and reached eighth place. With the team he was also eighth and last.

Morehouse graduated from Brandeis University with a bachelor's degree in history in 2000 , for which he was also active in the college sport in fencing. In 2003 he did a Masters Degree in Education from Pace University .
