Jason Zimbler

Jason Zimbler (born July 27, 1977 in New York City ) is an American actor and theater director . Jason Zimbler has been working as a software developer at HBO since 2011 . He was best known for his role as annoying little brother Ferguson W. Darling in the television series Clarissa with Melissa Joan Hart in the lead role.

life and work

Jason Zimbler was born on July 27, 1977 in New York City. When he was two years old his family moved to the district of Canarsie in Brooklyn . He got into the entertainment industry when he was six. Jason Zimbler's first television appearance was in 1984 as Jamie Swift on The Edge of Night . He only played the role during one season. The whole series was canceled. The family later moved to Livingston , New Jersey . Jason Zimbler played the role as Robert Anderson in the revival of the musical Shenandoah in 1989 . Shortly after entering high school , he was awarded the role of Ferguson W. Darling on the Nickelodeon television series Clarissa . So he had to choose between high school and the show that was filmed in Orlando . He finally decided on the series and played the know-it-all little brother of Clarissa (Melissa Joan Hart) in the series of the same name from 1991 to 1994. Alison Hallett of The Portland Mercury reviewed his role with the words that he is the "annoying little brother of the World ”. In 1992, Jason Zimbler addressed the Committee for Children, Youth and Families of the United States House of Representatives , as it deals with the questions of the distribution of condoms employed in schools, as well as the current image of the youthful heroes and role models of today.

After the series, he studied at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana and graduated in 1998. He earned both a bachelor's degree in business administration and a master's degree in theater directing . After graduation, he assisted and directed various theater productions in New York City. This included regular participation in the Impetuous Theater Group . Zimbler received an internship from the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society in 2006 for the production Burleigh Grime $ . In 2007 he participated in the Directors Lab at Lincoln Center . This is an event for directors and choreographers with various workshops, training courses, discussions and rehearsals. In addition, Zimbler also became an instructor and program manager at Buck's Rock for eight years. In 2007 Jason Zimbler took part in the XYZ Affair's music video "All My Friends" with a few other Nickelodeon stars ( Danny Cooksey , Michael Maronna and Marc Summers ) . Towards the end of 2007 he founded the theater company The Re-Theater Instrument in Portland with Sam Kusnetz . Newly staged classical plays such as Faust , King Lear and Much Ado About Nothing were performed there under Zimbler's direction . He has been working as a software developer at HBO since 2011.
