Jastrzębia (formerly Jastrzębie , Jastrzębce ) is a village in the municipality of Ciężkowice in the Tarnowski powiat of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship in Poland .

geography

The place is located on the Jastrzębianka stream in the Rożnów Mountains , 5 km west of the city of Ciężkowice . The neighboring towns are Słona, Brzozowa and Polichty in the north, Kipszna and Kąśna Górna in the east, Jamna and Siekierczyna in the south, and Olszowa and Paleśnica in the west.

history

The place was first mentioned in 1373 as the parish of Iastrzaba in the Siedliska deanery .

Politically and administratively, the village belonged to the Kingdom of Poland (from 1569 in the aristocratic republic of Poland-Lithuania ), Krakow Voivodeship , Sącz District. During the Reformation , the local church became the seat of an Arian congregation for around 60 years under the owner Stanisław Taszycki-Andrzej around 1561 . H. of the Polish Brothers .

During the first partition of Poland , Jastrzębia became part of the new Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria of the Habsburg Empire in 1772 (from 1804).

In 1918, after the end of the First World War and the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, Jastrzębia came to Poland. This was only interrupted by the occupation of Poland by the Wehrmacht in World War II .

From 1975 to 1998 Jastrzębia was part of the Tarnów Voivodeship .
