Jaunius Jasinevičius (born July 9, 1996 in Rokiškis ) is a Lithuanian ice hockey player who has been under contract with IK Comet in the 1st division , the second highest Norwegian league, since 2017 .

Career

Jaunius Jasinevičius began his career as a hockey player with Vilnius PILDYK in the Lithuanian U16 league. At the age of 16 he moved to Sweden, where he first played in various youth leagues at AIK Härnösand and Grums IK . For Grums, however, he also played in the fourth-class Division 2 . In 2015 he moved back to Härnösand and played there in third-class Division 1 , in which he was on the ice for SK Lejon and IFK Tumba in the following season. In 2017 he moved to Norway, where he has since been under contract with IK Comet from Halden in the 1st divisjon , the country's second-highest division.

International

For Lithuania, Jasinevičius took part in the junior division in the U18 World Championships in Division II in 2013 and 2014 , as well as in the U20 World Championships in Division II in 2014 , 2015 and 2016 .

In the men's field, he was in his country's squad at the World Championships in Division I in 2015 , 2016 , 2017 and 2018 . He also represented his colors in the Olympic qualification for the 2018 Winter Games in Pyeongchang , as well as in the tournaments for the Baltic Cup in 2016 and 2017.
