Jaycee Chan

Jaycee Chan (as Fáng ZǔMíng ; born December 3, 1982 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American actor and singer of Hong Kong-Chinese origin. He is the son of martial arts actor Jackie Chan .

Life

Jaycee Chan was born in Los Angeles, California in 1982 to actor Jackie Chan and Taiwanese actress Lín Fèngjiāo. His father's affair with Miss Asia in 1999 resulted in his half-sister Etta Ng Chok Lam. He spent two semesters at the College of William & Mary in Virginia . He made his film debut in The Twins Effect II , in which his father also played a role. After being seen in other Hong Kong films under well-known directors such as Derek Yee and Daniel Wu , he achieved his greatest fame to date with The Journey of the Chinese Drummer .

For his role as Sid he was honored with the 2009 Wine Country Film Festival for Best Actor. Lín Fèngjiāo suggested Jaycee for the role of Wei General in Little Big Soldier , for which Jackie Chan wrote the script. However, he rejected the proposal.

The following year Jaycee got a role in Jackie Chan's centenary film 1911 Revolution .

In 2009 he played the role of Fei Xiaohu in Mulan - Legend of a Warrior at the side of Zhao Wei .

In August 2014, according to the Chinese People's Daily, he was arrested by police in Beijing for drug possession . With his Taiwanese friend and fellow actor Kai Ko, he is said to have kept 100 grams of marijuana and other drugs as private property. Consumption was also proven. The sentence was set for six months. He also has to pay a fine of around 300 euros. A new court hearing in January 2015 confirmed his term until February 2015.
