Jean-Philippe Sol (born January 1, 1986 in Aurillac ) is a French volleyball player .

Career

Sol began his career at Thérondels Carladez. From 2004 to 2006 he played at Alès CVB before moving to Montpellier UC . With the club he reached the French cup final in 2008. A year later, the middle blocker with the French national team was runner-up in the final against Poland . He then moved to Stade Poitevin Poitiers . With Poitiers he won the French championship in 2011. In 2012 he was runner-up. After a year at Arago de Sète , he played for Narbonne Volley in the 2013-14 season . The club was relegated from the first division. Sol first moved to Nantes Rezé Métropole Volley. In the 2016/17 season he reached the final of the Challenge Cup with Chaumont Volley-Ball 52 and became French champion. Then he returned to Narbonne. In 2019 Sol moved to the German Bundesliga club United Volleys Frankfurt .
