Jean Brahn

Jean Brahn (actually Jahn Brahn ; born February 1, 1899 in Berlin ; † December 31, 1960 there ) was a German actor who was often cast as a supporting actor in films for the East German production company DEFA .

life and work

Jean Brahn was born in 1899 as the son of an actor in the working-class neighborhoods of Berlin. After the end of the Second World War , Brahn played in countless DEFA and GDR television productions from 1947 until his death in 1960 . He became one of the gefragtesten Supporting Actor of time, in addition to some sting animals was occupied -Kurzfilmen in more than 40 full-length feature films. In addition, Brahn had been a member of the acting ensemble of the Deutsches Theater in Berlin since 1953 .
