Das Stacheltier: Hoch dieverbindungen is a black and white German satirical short fiction film from the DEFA studio for fiction films by Harald Röbbeling from 1955 .

action

In an East Berlin pub , a cheerful group of people meets to drink alcohol together , but not only that, the corner lawyer Anton is also among them, but he only drinks tea. When Willi, who was already completely drunk, went to the bar to the innkeeper Otto to have another schnapps poured, he refused on the grounds that alcohol was scarce and that his restaurant was already running out . With this information, Willi goes back to his table to spread this knowledge immediately. The rumor of the rationing of course immediately spreads.

When Anton comes home, he reveals to his wife Johanna that he has therefore decided to invest the 2,000 marks he had saved in alcohol in order to sell it at a higher price if there was a further shortage. The West Berlin radio station RIAS is already reporting from a reliable source about the supply problems with alcohol in the eastern sector of Berlin, so that the whole city is quickly talking about it. The innkeeper Otto is already waiting for his delivery, which is long overdue, while Anton’s stockpile keeps growing.

While an East Berlin radio station reports that the current delivery problems of a schnapps factory have been overcome, the door in Otto's pub opens and several crates of alcohol are brought in. Back at home, Anton heard from his wife that his 2,000 marks were probably gone. Then the tea drinker goes into the cellar to drink his alcohol reserves himself out of sheer desperation.
