Ludwig Sachs (actor)

Ludwig Sachs (born October 26, 1881 in Breslau ; † June 21, 1973 in Berlin ) was a German actor .

Life

In 1904 Ludwig Sachs began his stage career in Stendal after completing his speech and singing training . The other stations were Sondershausen , Gießen , Gera , Metz , Freiburg , Frankfurt am Main , Essen , Konstanz and Hamburg until he came to Berlin in 1911 , where he worked as a comedian and recurring player on various stages until 1933. Here he got his first roles in silent films. In 1936, as a half-Jew , he was expelled from the Reichstheater- and Reichsfilmkammer by the National Socialists , which amounted to a professional ban.

After the Second World War , Ludwig Sachs began to play theater again in Berlin, but became a popular actor, especially with the DEFA film company .
