Elena Igorewna Proklova

Jelena Igorewna Proklowa ( Russian Елена Игоревна Проклова ; born September 2, 1953 in Moscow , Soviet Union ) is a Soviet and Russian actress .

Live and act

Jelena Proklowa's grandparents were actors. Due to her parents' circle of friends, she grew up in an environment of artists and actors. The country house in which they lived was in a settlement that was mainly inhabited by scientists, artists and entertainers. First, however, she began with artistic gymnastics and became a master of sports at the age of eleven .

Her grandfather was the second director for the film Tanja sucht Freunde (1966), for which the role of the 11-year-old girl Tanja had to be cast. Since the grandfather himself refused, a cameraman friend suggested the director Alexander Mitta Proklowa for the role. Until 1970 she was active as a child actor in several films , including as Natascha in the four-part GDR television film Encounters by Georg Leopold and Konrad Petzold and as Gerda in the Andersen film adaptation of The Snow Queen (both 1967).

By 1973 she studied acting at the Moscow Art Theater and was then a member of the ensemble at this theater until 1991. There she played Masha in Chekhov's Three Sisters and the leading role in Roschtschin's Valentin and Valentina .

Her film career as an adult actress began in the second half of the 1970s. Directed by Iossif Cheific , she played the leading female role of Tanja Feschowa in The Only One (1976). For this she was awarded the 2nd prize for actors at the All Union Film Festival in Frunze . She played other important roles in Igor Maslennikows Ein sentimentaler Roman (1977) and Andrei Smirnow Weroi i prawdoi (1980). She is an Honored Artist of the RSFSR .

From May 2006 to August 2010 she performed with the entertainer Gennady Malachov on the TV show Malachow + , which was broadcast on the Russian TV channel Pervy kanal . Since October 25, 2010 she has been moderating the program Wohnen on the same channel.

Political appearance

Proklova is a member of the Russian Social Chamber . She stands for the United Russia party . She is also the vice-president of the all-Russian social organization «League of National Health» and a member of the Social Chamber for Environmental Safety and Environment.
