Öberg competed in junior races until 2009. Since 2009 she has been taking part in the Cross-Country World Cup and the Scandinavian Cup . She won her first Scandinavian Cup victory in the sprint in Madona in February 2014 and took fifth place overall in the 2013/14 season. She ran her first World Cup race in November 2010 in Gällivare , which she finished in 61st place over 10 km freestyle completed. In January 2011 she got her first World Cup points in Liberec with ninth place in the sprint. At the U23 World Championships 2011 in Otepää and 2012 in Erzurum , she won bronze in the sprint. She finished the 2012/13 Tour de Ski in 43rd place. In January 2013 she was Swedish champion together with Charlotte Kalla in the team sprint. Her best placement in a World Cup race in the 2013/14 season was in January in Nové Mesto with seventh place in the sprint. In the 2014/15 season, which she finished in 11th place in the Sprint World Cup, she made it into the points in all World Cup races that took part. In January 2015, she achieved her first World Cup victory in Rybinsk, also in the sprint. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun in 2015 , she finished 37th in the 10 km freestyle. Also in the season she was Swedish champion with the relay and together with Charlotte Kalla in the team sprint. In the 2015/16 season she made it into the points six times in the World Cup. Her best placement of the season in the World Cup was fifth in the sprint in Stockholm . At the Swedish Championships in 2016, she won the relay and silver together with Charlotte Kalla in the team sprint, as in the previous year. In the following year she was also champion with the relay. At the Tour de Ski 2017/18 she came 25th.
