Jenny Lutzer , married Dingelstedt (born March 4, 1816 in Prague , † October 3, 1877 in Vienna ) was an Austrian opera singer ( soprano ).

Life

Jenny Lutzer received singing lessons as a child and was on stage for the first time at the age of 16. From 1837 to 1842 she was a celebrated coloratura soprano and soubrette at the Vienna Court Opera . During this time she was also appointed kk chamber singer . In 1843 she married the poet and theater manager Franz Freiherrn von Dingelstedt , whom she followed to Stuttgart in 1843 , to Munich in 1850 and finally to Weimar .

She died in Vienna in 1877 and rests in the central cemetery (5A-4-80) next to her husband Franz von Dingelstedt in an honorary grave .
