Jens Häusler (born August 27, 1967 in Uelzen ) is a German handball trainer and former handball player .
Player career
Jens Häusler started playing handball in the clubs TuS Oldenstadt and TV Uelzen. In the handball Bundesliga he played for the clubs HC Wuppertal , SG Wallau / Massenheim and SG Kronau-Östringen . Other clubs where Häusler was active were SG Hameln , SG Haslach-Herrenberg-Kuppingen , HSG Nordhorn-Lingen , TSV Altenholz , TSG Münster , HG Oftersheim / Schwetzingen.
He has been used throughout his career as both a circular runner and a backcourt player.
Coaching career
Häusler's coaching stations were among others the SG Herrenberg-Haslach-Kuppingen, the TSV Altensteig, the SG BraHU , the HSG Henstedt-Ulzburg , the TSV Altenholz and the SG Kropp-Tetenhusen-Dithmarschen .
Since July 1, 2011 he has been the coach of the U23 team and assistant coach of the Bundesliga team at HSV Hamburg under Per Carlén . After Carlén's dismissal on December 29, 2011, Jens Häusler was appointed head coach, initially for the second half of the 2011/12 season . He made his debut as a coach in the handball Bundesliga on February 8, 2012 in the game against Füchse Berlin , which HSV Hamburg won 24:23. From March 16, 2012, Jens Häusler and Martin Schwalb , President of HSV Hamburg, shared the coaching office. After resuming his position as assistant coach at HSV in July 2012, he was again head coach of Hamburg until the end of the season after the release of Christian Gaudin , who was newly hired in summer 2014 . On March 29, 2017, Häusler was released as HSV trainer. In the 2017/18 season he trained the A-youth of the THW Kiel . He then took over the coaching position at the third division DHK Flensborg . Under his leadership, the team was relegated to the league. In October 2019, Häusler was released from the DHK Flensborg. Since the season 2020/21 he coached third division HSG Baltic N / G .
