The Turn- und Sportgemeinde Münster 1883 eV is a sports club from the Kelkheim district of Münster . The club is known nationwide for its handball department , whose first men's team played several seasons in the 2nd handball league .

In addition to the handball department, the club also has the following departments: gymnastics , athletics , carnival , karate and cycling .

Handball department

From 2009 to 2011, the first team belonged to the HSG FrankfurtRheinMain syndicate. Since the HSG waived the license for the newly created, single-track 2nd handball Bundesliga in 2011, TSG Münster played in the 3rd division in the 2011/12 season . After the 2012/13 season , the team was relegated to the Oberliga Hessen.
