Jens Keukeleire (born November 23, 1988 in Bruges ) is a Belgian road cyclist .

Athletic career

Jens Keukeleire finished fourth in the road race of the U23 European Championship. In 2010 he became part of the French cycling team Cofidis and won the one-day races Le Samyn and Nokere-Koerse as well as a stage and the overall classification of the Driedaagse van West-Vlaanderen in his first year as a professional . In 2013 he won two stages of the Burgos Tour . In 2016 he won a stage each of the Tour de Slovénie and the Vuelta a España ; he also won the sprint ranking of the Abu Dhabi Tour . In both 2017 and 2018, he won the overall ranking of the Tour of Belgium .

By 2018, Keukeleire took part in seven major country tours . After a fall in which he is a broken fibula drew upon, he had the Tour de France in 2018 to give up after the ninth stage. The Australian Richie Porte , who also had to finish the race, was also involved in this fall .
