Jeremias Geisler

Andreas Jeremias Thomas Geisler (born August 9, 1884 in Aamaruutissat ; † October 7, 1936 there ) was a Greenland state councilor .

Jeremias Geisler was the son of the hunter Jacob Christopher Christian Rasmus Geisler (1852–?) And his wife Caroline Wilhelmine Gjertrud Jørgensen (1854–?). On September 3, 1911, he married Luise Ane Marie Kleist (1889–?) In Qeqertarsuaq . One of his children is Anthon Geisler (* 1919), the first Greenlandic man to be 100 years old.

Jeremias Geisler was a hunter by profession. He was elected to the North Greenland State Council in 1917 , where he remained until the end of the legislative period in 1922. He died of flu in 1936 at the age of 52.
