The film begins with Jerry Seinfeld's funeral service. His colleagues and fans are shocked because he has finished his successful sitcom Seinfeld after nine years . His television series achieved good ratings, received rave reviews and won numerous awards. Shortly after the funeral service, Jerry is confronted by a boy. This convinces him one last time to do a show. In New York City , Seinfeld is doing a stand-up comedy show live from the Broadhurst Theater .
