Jerry Weyer (2011)

Jerry Weyer (born January 4, 1986 ) is a Luxembourg politician of the Lëtzebuerg Pirate Party (PPLU). In 2010/2011 he was co-chair of the international umbrella organization of pirate parties ( Pirate Parties International (PPI)).

Weyer studied European law . He is a founding member of the PPLU, which was founded in October 2009.

With the Dutchman Samir Allioui and the Swiss Patrick Mächler , he organized the establishment of an international umbrella organization for the worldwide pirate party movement. At the founding conference of the PPI on April 17, 2010 in Brussels , he became the first officially elected co-chair of the PPI together with Grégory Engels . His term of office ended with the new election of the PPI board in April 2011.

Until October 28, 2012 he was deputy chairman of the PPLU. From October 2012 to July 2013 he was the coordinator of Politikercheck.lu , the Luxembourg counterpart of the German platform abendeten-check.de . Since October 5, 2014 he has been chairman of the district center of the PPLU.

Jerry Weyer works as a consultant for digital communication.
