Jesús Moraza Ruiz de Azúa OAR (born March 27, 1945 in Araya , Spain ) is a Spanish religious and prelate emeritus of Lábrea .

Life

Jesús Moraza Ruiz de Azúa joined the order of the Augustinian Recollects and was ordained a priest on July 6, 1969 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him prelate of Lábrea on January 12, 1994 . The apostolic nuncio in Spain , Mario Tagliaferri , donated him episcopal ordination on March 19 of the same year ; Co -consecrators were Francisco José Pérez y Fernández-Golfín , Bishop of Getafe , and Florentino Zabalza Iturri OAR, Prelate Emeritus of Lábrea. As a motto he chose Da quod jubes et jube quod vis .

On April 13, 2016, Pope Francis accepted his early resignation.
