Yevgeny Alexandrowitsch Schdanow ( Russian Евгений Александрович Жданов ; born July 20, 1983 in Ust-Kamenogorsk , Kazakh SSR ) is a Kazakh ice hockey player who has been under contract with HK Beibarys Atyrau in the Kazakh championship since 2011 .

Career

Yevgeny Zhdanov began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of the Russian top club HK Avangard Omsk , for whose second team he was active in the third-rate Pervaya League from 1998 to 2000 . The attacker then played for four years for various professional teams in the Wysschaja Liga , the second Russian division. These were Mostowik Kurgan , Metallurg Serow , Motor Barnaul and Sputnik Nizhny Tagil . For the 2006/07 season he moved to his home country for HK Sary-Arka Karaganda , for whom he played in both the Russian Pervaya League and the Kazakh Championship . He also played this season for the HK Irtysch Pavlodar in Kazakhstan, as well as Ariada-Akpars Wolschsk and the HK Kazachmys Satpajew in the Wysschaja League.

The 2007/08 season spent Zhdanov again in the Wysschaja Liga, in which he was on the ice for his Kazakh ex-club HK Kazachmys Satpajew, and Barys Astana . During the following two years, the former Kazakh junior international was under contract with HK Irtysh Pavlodar and Gornjak Rudny in the Kazakh championship. For the 2010/11 season he was finally obliged by his ex-club Barys Astana from the Continental Hockey League . For the team, however, he did not play a single game and joined the HK Beibarys Atyrau from the Kazakh championship for the 2011/12 season .

International

For Kazakhstan , Zhdanov took part in the U18 Junior B World Championship in 2001 . During the tournament he scored nine goals in five games and gave another four assists.
