Jimmie Augustsson (born April 13, 1981 ) is a Swedish football player . The midfielder won the Swedish championship title with Kalmar FF in the 2008 season.

Career

Augustsson was born with a clubfoot , but after several operations he was able to start playing football at Tyringe IF . When he was fifteen, he switched to the youth team at IFK Hässleholm .

There Augustsson was later used in the men's team, before moving to Trelleborgs FF in 2005 in the second-rate Superettan . Here he was one of the pillars of the team that rose to the Allsvenskan as second division champions at the end of the 2006 season . On April 6, 2007, he celebrated his first division debut in a 1-1 draw against IFK Göteborg , and on April 22, he scored his first first division goal in a 2-1 win over Malmö FF with the goal of 1-0. After he had occupied the penultimate place in the table with the club, which still meant relegation due to an increase in Allsvenskan, he left the club.

Augustsson's new employer was last year's runner-up, Kalmar FF . On Matchday 5 he made his first division debut for the new club in the 2-0 away win at GIF Sundsvall when he came on for César Santin in the 90th minute of the game . By the end of the season he fluctuated between the starting line-up and substitute bench and contributed to winning the Lennart Johansson Cup with eleven season appearances . In the following two seasons he could not earn a regular place, but in the 2-4 defeat against Örgryte IS he scored his first league goal for KFF in October 2009.

After his breakthrough at KFF was denied, Augustsson moved to Assyriska Föreningen before the second division season in 2011 . The then 29-year-old signed a two-year contract with his new club. There he was a regular player straight away.
