Karl-Joachim Jacobi (born November 4, 1950 ) is a German educator and politician ( CDU ). From 2003 to 2009 he was State Secretary in the Hessian Ministry of Culture .

Life

Joachim Jacobi passed his Abitur in 1969 at the Wilhelm Filchner School in Wolfhagen . After studying mathematics and physics at the Philipps University of Marburg (1969–1974) with a degree in maths, he was initially a research assistant at the mathematical institute of the Philipps University in Marburg , then trainee lawyer in Trier . After teaching positions at the Grotefend-Gymnasium in Hann. Münden and the König-Heinrich-Schule , grammar school in Fritzlar , he became head of department there in 1984 and headmaster in 1990. In 2000 he first moved to Wiesbaden as a ministerial conductor in the Hessian Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs .

Jacobi was a CDU city ​​councilor and long-time parliamentary group leader in Naumburg and a member of the district council in the Kassel district . In addition, for many years he held executive board duties in the Junge Union and the CDU at different levels.

From 2003 to 2009 Jacobi was State Secretary in the Hessian Ministry of Culture. After retiring in 2010, he completed a degree in philosophy at the Fernuniversität in Hagen , which he completed with a master’s degree in 2013. In 2018 it was presented with the topic The Polar Dualism according to Franz von Kutschera: A powerful alternative to the traditional approaches to solving the mind-body problem? PhD.

Jacobi is married and has three children. He lives in Naumburg (Kassel district).
