Hhlen comes from Lenk in the Bernese Oberland , where she grew up with her identical twin sister and an older sister. At the age of 15, she competed in the FIS from November 2007 . First appearances in the European Cup followed in December 2008. It took another two years until she was able to advance to the points in this racing series: On December 4, 2010, she immediately finished third in the super combination of Kvitfjell . At the Junior World Championships 2011 in Crans-Montana , she won the bronze medal in combination.
In January 2012, Hehlen won an FIS race for the first time. At the Junior World Championship in Roccaraso in 2012 , she won the silver medal in the Super-G, where she missed victory by just three hundredths of a second. On January 16, 2013 she celebrated her first victory in the European Cup in the downhill from St. Anton , another victory followed three weeks later in the Super-G of Sella Nevea . In the Super-G discipline ranking of the winter 2012/13 she took third place, with which she received a fixed starting place in the World Cup for the 2013/14 season . She won her first World Cup points on December 6, 2013 with 29th place in the downhill from Lake Louise .
Due to an injury, Hehlen had to take a break for the entire 2014/15 season. In the following winter of 2015/16 she was able to classify four times in the top 20 in the World Cup. In the 2016/17 season she achieved two top 15 rankings; Her best result was an 8th place in the Super-G of Val-d'Isère on December 18, 2016. In the winter of 2017/18, the driver achieved another top ten result in the World Cup with fifth place in the Super-G of Val-d'Isère on December 16, 2017. On the downhill run from Crans-Montana on February 23, 2019, she just missed her first World Cup podium finish: after she and four other riders failed to measure time, the runs were repeated several times checked and the ranking changed repeatedly. The final result could only be announced after three days, and Hehlen lost its supposed second place and was classified fourth.
Eleven months later, on January 24, 2020, Hählen achieved her first podium in a World Cup race when she finished third on the downhill from Bansko . A week later, another third place followed in Rosa Chutor's Super-G .
