JoAnne Russell-Longdon (born October 30, 1954 in Miami ) is a former American tennis player .
Career
Russell won the women's doubles competition at the Wimbledon Championships in 1977 with her doubles partner Helen Gourlay . After defeating Chris Evert and Rosie Casals in the first round , they defeated Martina Navrátilová and Betty Stöve in two sets with 6: 3, 6: 3 in the final .
The US-American achieved the best career placement in 1983, 22nd in the singles and in 1987 32nd in the double world rankings.
