Joaquín José Morón Hidalgo

Joaquín José Morón Hidalgo (born August 16, 1942 in Boconó , † October 30, 2013 in Acarigua ) was Bishop of Acarigua-Araure .

Life

Joaquín José Morón Hidalgo was ordained a priest on August 1, 1965 . He was pastor of Trujillo Cathedral and rector of the Trujillo Seminary.

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Valle de la Pascua on July 25, 1992 . The apostolic nuncio in Venezuela , Oriano Quilici , donated him episcopal ordination on October 7th of the same year; Co- consecrators were Baltazar Enrique Porras Cardozo , Archbishop of Mérida , and Alfredo José Rodríguez Figueroa , Archbishop of Cumaná .

On December 27, 2002, he was appointed first Bishop of Acarigua - Araure by Pope John Paul II .
