Joayrton Martins Cahú

Joayrton Martins Cahú (born June 30, 1922 in Recife ) is a former Brazilian diplomat .

Life

In 1942 he completed a course on international law at the Institut d'Etudes Avancées de Nantes . In 1943 he earned a bachelor's degree in humanities from the philosophical faculty. In 1948 he was a member of the International Law Commission of the United Nations in Paris and completed a course on international law at the Hague Academy of International Law . In 1950 he graduated in Law at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro from.

On October 5, 1951, he entered the foreign service of Itamaraty . In 1958 he completed the Curso de Preparação à Carreira de Diplomata at the Rio Branco Institute and became third class consul. In 1959 he became second class consul in line with his career. From 1960 to 1961 he was assigned to the consulate in Hamburg , where he was chargé d'affaires in 1960. In 1961, 1963, 1964 and 1966 he traded as chargé d'affaires of the Consulate General in Porto . From 1961 to 1962 he was chargé d'affaires in Dakar , Senegal . In 1966 he was promoted to the position of first-class secretary of the diplomatic mission. From 1966 to 1969 he was consul in Luanda . In 1970 he became a delegation counselor. From 1970 to 1973 he headed the administrative department of Itamaraty. From 1973 to 1976 he was ambassador in Bissau , ( Guinea-Bissau ). From 1975 he was also ambassador in Praia ( Cape Verde ). From January 31, 1983 to 1988, he was ambassador to Manila .
