Jochen Vielhauer

Jochen Vielhauer (born February 11, 1947 in Neumünster ) is a Hessian politician ( Die Grünen ) and former member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

Jochen Vielhauer studied politics, journalism and sociology in Kiel, Munich and Frankfurt. He completed his studies as a sociologist at the Frankfurt Johann Wolfgang Goethe University. From 1974 to 1979 he was youth education officer at the Frankfurter Jugendring and from 1979 to 1981 chairman of the youth protection committee.

From 1977 to 1979 he worked on the founding and development of the taz and from 1979 to 1982 he was the full-time editor of the taz editorial team in Frankfurt. From 1987 to 1992 he was a freelance journalist and IT lecturer as well as editor of the monthly magazine of the Greens Hessen. Then he was editor of the monthly newspaper of the federal green party until 1994.

In 1992 he started his own business as managing director of a PR agency and owner of an IT consultancy and worked in this position until 1999. Since 1999 he has been the managing director of an IT company. From 1997 to 2004 he built an integration company (Frankfurt employment company) and was an honorary director there.

Jochen Vielhauer is married and has a daughter.

politics

Jochen Vielhauer joined the GREEN party in January 1982. From 1982 to 1985 he was a "replacement" parliamentary group assistant and press spokesman in the first green parliamentary group. He had run in the constituency of Frankfurt am Main III . After the first half of the electoral term he " rotated " on April 15, 1985 for Dirk Treber in the state parliament, to which he belonged from 1985 to 1987 as parliamentary group chairman. From 1987 to 1988 he was a member of the district board of the Greens Frankfurt and 1992 to 1993 district board spokesman for the Greens Frankfurt. Vielhauer is a member of local advisory board 3 in Frankfurt am Main.
